About the area #

The Northern Suburbs of Hobart otherwise known as the City of Glenorchy, has a population in excess of 46,000 with the city spanning the area along the Derwent River, from just north of the Queens Domain in the south, to the Bridgewater Bridge and Causeway in the north, and extends west as far as the foothills of Mount Wellington. The city provides excellent public transport, schooling options, shopping and public services. The city hosts several annual events, including a regatta at Montrose Bay while at the showgrounds there is the annual Royal Hobart Show and the Hobart Cup at Tattersalls Park and is home to the popular MONA development.

Centacare Evolve Housing are developing 21 units at the Brent Street Primary School site. 10 will be completed before Christmas 2019 with the remainder due for completion in the 2nd Quarter of 2020
